Since I've worked as a subject matter expert in 20+ projects for other firms, I've gained my own independent confirmation through eyewitness accounts. I hang my black belt on my abilities to execute through leadership using those soft skills. Besides reading constantly...I think it's wise for the BB to inject a new communication tactic or exercise in each project he/she is working on. Full submersion will cause the most synapses to fire when something works or does not.
